Opened
in Prayer by Obie Galindo
Officers
in attendance: Jeff Maas –
President (excused first 30 minutes absences), Page Porter - Treasurer Nanette
Hintz – Secretary, Todd Ivory – Website Master
In
attendance: Board Members Renee Morris, Jim Bowerman and Russ Netter.
Lisa Galindo and Obie Galindo – Athletic Director
Secretary
Report: September Minutes approved with no changes
Treasury
Report: Lots
to be discussed as this was our first look at the new accounting system.
We went item by item and talked about each so everyone understood what we
were looking at. In the end, Page
made notes to talk to accountant about a few issues.
She also decided that she will need to work on her own report that will
be balanced against the accountants statement so that at our meetings we will
have information that reflects everything current to our records.
Example: Smart and Final purchases for Boosters our now, as often as
possible, made on the school S&F credit account.
These charges so on our statement as one sum and may not reflect all
purchases at the time of our meetings.
Activity
Summarized for the past two months are available for viewing.
Website
Update: We
have had several inquiries through the website of people wanting to be on our
emailing list. Parents are using
the map links for away games and LOVING IT!
What a wonderful addition, thank you WebMaster!
Please continue to encourage people that you see taking pictures at games
to send them in to the website to be posted.
OLD
BUSINESS:
A.
Coupon
Booklets: Received 332 booklets, orders for 51 out of area.
Returned 129. Page will take
care of the rewards for team and overall winners.
B.
Veterans
Game: We served over 40 free meals.
Good night. Thank you to the
Junior High Football team for serving the veterans.
C.
Snack
Bars: Russ brought up that more has
gone out than come in. It was
explained that both bars are fully stocked and with all the donation of Veterans
dinners and half-ing the snack bars with ASB on the Excelsior games that it is
better than it looks on paper. Russ
also brought up that we need to ‘splurge’ for the higher quality burgers.
Renee brought up the idea of Air Pumps for extra storage of hot drinks on
cold nights.
D.
Trees:
PTF is going to sell the trees. They
would like us to help promote. Jim
will work with Page and Nanette to get the forms to have an option to benefit
PTF or Boosters. Page will send
school wide email. Page and Obie
are working with Dr. Byrd to promote the trees at church the next few Sundays.
E.
Tail
Gate Party: Boosters owe Athletics
$65 for gate fees. Good time for
all. Yummy desserts!
F.
Cross
Country Canopy: Nanette will call
and order from EzUp in
G.
Football
Shirts: This is new business to the
Boosters monthly meeting but Old Business to the club.
ReCap: It was decided by
officers to order 100 shirts in two separate designs through CustomPlanet.
They were to cost team members $5 each and each team member would be
allowed 2 shirts. All other shirts
will be sold for $10. Coaches need
to push the shirts at practice. Shirts
cost $5.82 a piece.
Shirts were completed in 6 days to be available for the home game.
H.
Stadium
Chairs: No reorder at this time.
Still have 6 chairs. Should
revisit this in Basketball season.
I.
Half
Time Drawings: Bankstons donated
some items and time to promote the sale of tickets.
Kari did an amazing job of decorating the prizes.
NEW
BUSINESS:
A.
Fan
Appreciation Day: Still have 68 fans that were donated last year.
Oct 19th is first home league game for volleyball.
It is voted that we will get batteries again and have a “FanNight”.
Nanette will print labels for the fans and ASB will sticker and battery
the fans. Jeff suggested we get
batteries at Costco. Page will take
care of.
B.
Little
Cheerleaders: Nanette asked if the
Boosters would donate 17 Inflatable We’re #1 Fingers to the Elementary
Cheerleaders. They cost us
$0.79 each. It was agreed to donate
them.
C.
Powder
Puff: It was brought up that last
year we did not have Powder Puff and was there any way Boosters could help this
happen this year. Obie says that
ASB is trying to make it happen. Boosters
offered help through Cj, ASB VP to ASB for any needs that may arise.
OPEN
FORUM:
Page
said that John Kilmer has a picnic table that needs some repair but would like
to donate it to Boosters. It will
take around $100 in supplies and he would donate his time to fix.
Do we want? Jeff said he
will check it out. If it is a good
deal he has authority to move forward with the fixing of and donating of the
table(s).
Calendar
items for the next month: Football, volleyball, football, cross country, more
volleyball and another football game mixed in with a more cross country!
See Booster Club website for schedules and links to maps to all away
games.
