Update: We
still need the coach’s specific needs for the Gift Registry.
Any and all pictures are welcome. All
we need to keep the site fresh is help from everyone with anything they wish see
on the pages. Todd will post
schedules as soon as he receives them from the athletic dept.
OLD
BUSINESS:
A.
Where
is the Mascot?
Nanette is working with the mascot company.
Its delivery company says it was delivered but can not produce a
signature for receipt so…the mascot story continues…
B.
Scratcher
Cards: Football
team will start on this fund raiser right after the car wash to raise monies for
the new uniforms. Obie will
organize this with help from Page.
C.
Football
Uniforms:
Coach Galindo is still working on the fund raising and ordering.

Little
Gal Softball Camp was cancelled.
2.
Summer
Car Wash: Set for July 18th. Tickets
have been passed out to the athletes. Coach
Galindo has all areas covered to include the man power, signs and supplies.
Bree suggested creating a Car Wash banner to use year after year.
Boosters will provide snack bar. (Nanette and Russ will bring coolers.
Nanette will purchase drinks and non-melting snacks.
Page will bring the cash bag. Page
and Nanette will man the table for the day)

Kick
Off BBQ:
1.
Date is
set for August 27th 6pm to 8pm in the VVCS Gym.

We will
add the Varsity Patch Presentation, announcement of banner sponsors and an on
going picture/video to the events of the evening.
3.
Obie
suggests that all else stay the same as last year.
4.
We will
go over volunteer needs, tickets, menus etc in our August meeting.

Where
is the ‘GAME TONIGHT’ sign?
It was heard that it may have been damaged in roof repairs or just
mistaken as trash in that construction. Obie
will look into locating it.
B.
Booster
Memberships:
This is covered often so to put it under new business is a stretch!
But…

Game
Entrance Discounts or coupons: for members, but what constitutes a ‘member’.
Attendance to a meeting, attendance to 3 meetings, just having your child
play a sport?

Having
Booster Shirts: How to give them out, who to give them to…
3.
Laminated
Membership Cards or Season by season punch cards or coupons…?
4.
How to
get more people involved? Benefits!
OPEN
FORUM:
Trophy
Case: Bree
brought an idea forward to update and change our trophy case.
Her ideas included sections for each sport/team with up to date info and
team pictures. Nanette has some
pictures of other schools trophy case with some of the same ideas.
Maybe we could get Boosters to pay for shelving or decorations if the
ideas would be approved of by the school…who to ask?
Nanette said she would talk to Pastor Josh as a starting place for
approval.
Garage
Sale:
The idea was brought up over a year ago but we were told that we would
not get approval from the school/church due to the fact that the church holds
their own ‘parking lot sales’.
