NEW BUSINESS:

OPEN FORUM:

A.        Athletic Director Obie Galindo came before the Booster Club to once again ask for its support for the Athletic Departments Softball Tournament being held this year on March 6, 7 and 9.  He asked if the club would be willing to foot the bill for the lights on the field for the evening games.  The cost is to be $428.  After a small discussion about the snack bar earnings during the tournament last year (around $900 brought in) the group said yes to paying for the lights.

B.        Jeff Maas, on behalf of the Varsity Baseball team, asked for help in the purchase of new catching gear for them.  Estimated costs are from $200 to $300 dollars for full set plus double shin guards.  Booster Club discussed it and the decision was made to split the cost of the gear with the Athletic Dept up to $150 cost to the club.

Calendar items for the next month:  Feb 26th – Sports Awards, 6:30pm.  PlayOff games for Winter Sports TBA.  The start of spring training!
