New Business:
A. By Laws
1. Jeff brought up that we need to update the information regarding the new protocol for requesting checks to make purchases. We agreed and this will be done by the next meeting.
B. Left Over Raffle
1.
Jeff brought up the fact that we still have 2-3 raffles prized
left over from the football games. We
decided to ask about using them at the staples game.
If they do not approve that we will use them at our bigger fan attendance
games (i.e. AAE, Hesperia Christian and Excelsior)
If we do it at the home games we will need a sign (Page) stating that the
drawing will be held after the 1st quarter of the boys game so we
draw the larger crowds and sell for both girl?s and boy?s games.
All this is pending the answer we get from the
C. Snack Bar Help
2. Obie has taken to e-mails and texting to get adult volunteers to work the snack bar (thanks Obie). He is also looking for people who would be interested in opening up for BB/SB and sell hot drinks and small snacks.
Open Forum:
Obie asked for weighted basketballs for girls. After a brief explanation from Marcus as to their use, Booster agreed to buy 10 balls at $23 a ball.
Obie explained the weight room situation. Rowling family has donated all fairly new equipment and will be doing the renovations over Christmas break. The new weight room will accommodate teams since it will be much larger after taking out a wall so all athletic teams can benefit. On behalf of Rowlings, Obie asked Booster if we would be willing to put some money towards the renovations. Booster voted to give the Staples proceeds (no less than $500). Weight room to be up and ready after Christmas Break- Thank you Mark and Mona Rowling.
Obie-AGAIN- is asking for 4 round plastic tub will rope handles for his softballs. He will find and purchase from Home Depot. Cost is minimal
Obie-wants to have three medical bags stocked for each sport to take. Currently we only have one that is fully supplied. He has one extra bag that is empty and is asking Booster to purchase another bag and supply it with necessary items. Booster will give $100 for the purchases.
Calendar for next month:
